Day 1: Arrival Durban, the cultural capital of South Africa. You travel through the rolling hills of Zululand, and into the heart of Africa an authentic Zulu-village. You will get to know the culture and traditions of this proud nation. The day ends with traditional food and Zulu-dancing, and you stay overnight in the village. Accommodation in traditional round huts. (B/D) Day 2-3: Time for safari, in car or on foot with your own game ranger. This is the best way to get the thrills of African wildlife. You will get close to the animals, the game ranger has a rifle, but you are hunting with your camera. Exchange tales of the days adventures around the campfire at night, only interrupted by the sound of the African wild: hear the roar of the lion! Overnight in a private lodge in the heart of the reserve. (B/L/D) Day 4: We move on to our next adventure, and check in at one of the oldest game reserves in Africa: Pongola Biosphere. Boat cruise and elephanting. Overnight at White Elephant Safari Lodge. "Out of Africa" feeling guaranteed. (B/L/D) Day 5-6: The tropical beaches are calling! Snorkelling among colourful reefs and fish. Sail among hippos and crocodiles. Overnight at a lodge on the edge of Lake Sibaya, the largest natural lake in South Africa, and only a sand dune away from the Indian Ocean. This unique location provides a lot of unusual options for activities. (B/L/D) Day 7: Return to Durban. Accommodation in a four star hotel by the beachfront, "The Golden Mile". Durban should have something for everybody: shopping, beach, restaurants from all corners of the world, visit to the largest herbal market in the world and other colourful markets. Deep sea fishing, dolphin- and whale-safari and shark centre. (B) Day 8: Departure Durban in the afternoon. |
