Tour Overview
Day 1 |
Arrival Cape Town. There are lots of things to do in Cape Town and the surroundings. Center of Cape Town: The Waterfront, Green Square Market and to enjoy the sunset over Cape Town from Table Mountain. Accommodation by "Waterfront". (B) |
Day 2 |
We recommend the wine-route! Full day, with visits to four or five of the fantastic wine estates. (B) |
Day 3 |
Cape of Good Hope, Chapmans Peak, Simon’s Town to see the jackass penguins. Boat trip to the famous prison island: Robben Island in the afternoon. (B) |

Day 5 |
Cape Town – George. The drive takes you through some of the wine districts, and maybe stop at one of the less known wine estates. Highly recommend is a visit to the world famous Cango Caves, and a stop at one of the ostrich-farms. Overnight at George, where you can play the world famous Fancourt Links Course. (B) |
Day 6-7 |
The Garden Route, the area between George and Knysna is world known for its gorgeous and lush nature. The art- and oystertown of Knysna: Enjoy fresh oysters in one of the restaurants along the harbour. Visit some of the many small studios and art shops. Or take a trip to the famous Tsitsikamma Nationalpark. Accommodation in Knysna, and there are several golf courses in Knysna and surroundings. (B) |
Day 8 |
Knysna – Port Elizabeth. The towns and adventures are lined up. Eat lunch by Storms River Mouth, or go for a horseride through the sanddunes. Overnight in Port Elizabet. (B) |
Day 9 |
Morning flight from Port Elizabeth to Durban (50 min. flight). On arrival Durban we will meet you at the airport. You get your rentalcar and head off to the south coast and Selborne Golf Resort. 4 stars accommodation and two very good golf courses in the immediate vicinity. The resort is approx. 45 min south of Durban. (B) |
Day 10-12 |
Are spent at Selborne Golf Resort. It is possible to make a trip to one of the many golfcourses around Durban, or just spend the days relaxing on the beach. Or take a trip to Durban: Durban is known as the cultural capital of South Africa. The city is a melting pot of different cultures. You find the largest population of Indians outside of India here: They color the city by among other things: the Indian Market and spicy food. Here you find top modern art galleries and center for African Culture. Durban is a city full of contrasts! And Durban has the world famous Durban Country Club. (B) |
Day 13 |
Today you will be travelling North of Durban to Zululand. Protea Hotel Shakaland is located in here. It was originally built on the filmset from the movie Shaka Zulu and John Ross. Experience the mystery and the magic while you relive the days of Shaka, the Zulu King. Accommodation: 55 chalets, built with inspiration from the original zuluchalets. Every chalet has its own private, modern bathroom and TV. On the way, we recommend you to stop in Eshowe. In this place, you can find exciting Norwegian history. It was here that bishop Schoder was the first white man amongst the Zulus. The museum is fantastic and we can arrange a tour where you will receive information and stories about the Zulu culture and history. (B/D) |
Day 14-15 |
Your journey continues north, to the private gamereserve: Mkuze Falls Private Game Reserve. Incredible wildlife experiences at five star lodge. A typical safari day: Up approx. 05:00. Tea/coffee and muffins are served before departure. 3-4 hours safari with breaks before you head back to the lodge for a healthy brunch. In the middle of the day you can relax around the swimming pool, before you meet for "High Tea": A snack-lunch, and then head out on safari with sundowners while the sun set over the savanna… Safaris are in open landrovers with you private game ranger. Day 16-17 |
Time to get the feel of "Karen Blixen", and you move on to one of Africa’s oldest nature reserves: Pongola Biosphere. Safaris in Amazulu Private Game Reserve. You go looking for “the big five” (elephant, lion, rhino, buffalo and leopard). Fantastic animal experiences in a five star safari lodge, which will guarantee you an unique safari experience. Every suite is formed like chalets and has a private balcony, with a view over the thirsty animals that comes up to the river for a drink. A typical day in the game reserve starts early, because of the increased chance to see animals. (B/L/D + gamedrives + all drinks incl. locally produced alcohol + laundry) |
Day 18-20 |
Back to Durban. Accommodation at a 5* golf resort just north of Durban. Durban has 30 golf courses in the nearby vicinity, and there are plenty of other things to do: shopping, beach, restaurants from all corners of the world, visit the largest herbal market in the world and other markets. (F) |
Day 21 |
Departure Durban in the afternoon. |
