Experience the best of Kenya! The journey starts in Nairobi and continues to the Samburu people in the north - Here you travel on safari and get close to the nomadic people. You then continue to Mara Naboisho for an exceptional safari on a camper with a focus on sustainability and the local environment. After the safari, it's time for powder white beaches on the coast of Kenya. Karibu sana!
DAY 1: ARRIVAL NAIROBI
On arrival in Nairobi you will be met and driven to the hotel. If you arrive early in the day, we can arrange for a driver to take you around Narobi to, among other things, the elephant orphanage, the giraffe center and lunch at Karen Blixen.
This evening we can reserve a table for dinner at the restaurant, Carnivore.
DAY 2: SAMBURU
After breakfast you cross the equator and travel north to Samburu to the camp in the Kalama Conservancy. The safari camp is located on a cliff with a spectacular view over the mountain landscape (all the way to Mt. Kenya) and beyond the savannah.
In addition to the classic felines, elephants and an exciting birdlife, the area is particularly known for what is referred to as"Samburu Big 5" consisting of giraffe antelopes, grebes, oryx antelopes, reticulated giraffes and the Somali ostrich. These are only found in these areas!
DAY 3: SAMBURU
The day starts early at sunrise with a cup of coffee or tea before you set off on safari. You travel into Samburu in search of animals and great nature experiences. During the safari, you stop for breakfast along the river or out on the savannah. You return to camp before the sun is at its hottest.
DAY 4: MARA NABOISHO
After a morning safari in Samburu and a leisurely breakfast at the camp, you fly on to Mara. On arrival you will be met by a local Masai guide who will be with you on safari in the morning and afternoon. You drive to the camp for refreshments and lunch before heading out on the afternoon safari. In the afternoon you go on safari in open safari vehicles.
DAY 5 AND XNUMX: MARA NABOISHO
A typical day on safari starts early in the morning, when the chance of seeing animals is greatest. Up approx. at 05:00. Tea/coffee and a simple breakfast are served before safari departure. You are out on safari for 3-4 hours and return to the camp for breakfast. In the middle of the day it is often too hot for both animals and people. You can visit the Maasai village or relax at the camp. After lunch and refreshments, there is a new afternoon safari with departure at approximately 16:00. There will be a stop along the way for a "sundowner" when the sun sets over the savannah. You are back at the camp in time for dinner.
DAY 6 AND XNUMX: MARA NABOISHO
More safaris in Mara Naboisho. The area is known for its abundant wildlife and unique safari experiences. The density of lions here is among the highest in the entire world, Illegal hunting is a growing threat to Kenya's elephants. Researchers have recorded a significant change in the elephant's habits within protected areas. Naboisho has become a refuge for the elephants – a respite in their vulnerable existence.
DAY 7: CHALE ISLAND / DIANI / LAMU
After the morning safari and breakfast, you fly on to the coast of Kenya. We can adapt the destination according to preferences and budget.
DAY 9 -11: BEACH HOLIDAY
Days for relaxation and free disposition along the coast of Kenya. Enjoy the sun, heat and swimming or join excursions with snorkelling/diving.
DAY 12: DEPARTURE
After a quiet morning and a last bath, you head home. You fly back to Nairobi well before you fly back to the international airport.
