Located in the heart of central southern Africa, Malawi offers a true and memorable African experience. Malawi is one of the best countries in Africa if you want to meet rural communities where people are just friendly and natural. The country is known as the "warm heart of Africa". Almost everyone speaks English, the roads are good and the attractions are not far apart. Travel around with a rental car (left-hand drive), or have everything arranged with a private guide.

Malawi borders in the southeast and southwest to Mozambique, in the northeast to Tanzania and in the northwest to Zambia. The country's geography is shaped by Africa's Great Rift Valley: high mountains, lush and fertile valley floor, and the huge crystal clear lake, Lake Malawi, the third largest lake in Africa. Explore the endless turquoise waters of tropical fish, beautiful golden beaches and magnificent sunsets. Fill your days with kayaking, snorkeling, scuba diving, water skiing or a leisurely boat cruise while feeding the ospreys. At least two nights on beautiful Mumbo Island is to recommend.

Mount Muljane is one of the world's highest free-standing cliffs at over 3000 meters. The name means "island in the sky". Mount Mulanje has deep gorges with spectacular waterfalls. Nearby are Malawi's tea properties which are well worth a visit.

Liwonde National Park is Malawi's premier safari destination. Here you will find a varied landscape with swamps, forests, open grasslands, palm savannas and huge baobab trees. The mighty Shire River flows from Lake Malawi to the Zambezi River in Mozambique. Feel free to combine with a safari in Zambia. A few hours from Malawi we find one of the best game reserves in Africa that has not yet been fully explored - South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.
