Mount Muljane is one of the world's highest free-standing cliffs at over 3000 meters. The name means "island in the sky". Mount Mulanje has deep gorges with spectacular waterfalls. Nearby are Malawi's tea properties which are well worth a visit.

Liwonde National Park is Malawi's premier safari destination. Here you will find a varied landscape with swamps, forests, open grasslands, palm savannas and huge baobab trees. The mighty Shire River flows from Lake Malawi to the Zambezi River in Mozambique. Feel free to combine with a safari in Zambia. A few hours from Malawi we find one of the best game reserves in Africa that has not yet been fully explored - South Luangwa National Park in Zambia.
