BY ROVOS RAIL TO VICTORIA FALLS

DAY 1: ARRIVAL JOHANNESBURG

Arrival in Johannesburg where you will be met and driven to your hotel in Pretoria or Johannesburg. The area is called "Jacaranda City". When the jacaranda blooms in October, the whole city is covered in a purple carpet.

If you have time, you can take a guided tour of Soweto or take a trip to Church Square, which is surrounded by fine old buildings. The impressive Union Building is considered to be among the foremost architectural masterpieces in South Africa. Nelson Mandela was inaugurated as president here on 10 May 1994.

DAY 2: ROVOS RAIL

You board aboard the exclusive train Rovos Rail. This is not just a train journey, but an experience from a bygone era. Meals are served in the restaurant trolley and from the observation basin you can enjoy the view while the train rolls towards Botswana and on to Zimbabwe. In Zimbabwe you stop for safari in Hwange National Park. With about 46 000 elephants, over twice as much as Kruger, this is the area with the most elephants on the African continent.

DAY 3 and XNUM: ROVOS RAIL

Rovos Rail is run by Rohan Vos, a fiery soul who restored the classic train The Pride of Africa - the world's most luxurious train. The train carries a maximum of 72 passengers in 36 comfortable suites. All the carriages are classic and returned to perfection. DAY 5 AND XNUM: VICTORIA FALLS

You arrive at Victoria Falls in the morning. You are driven to the lodge which stands high on a natural plateau. Here you can enjoy the sunset while looking out over a water hole often visited by antelopes, zebra, buffaloes and other animals. The lodge is just 4 km away from the thundering Victoria Falls. The next day you will be on a guided tour of the Victoria Falls and sunset cruise on the Zambezi River.

DAY 7 – 9: SAFARI IN CHOBE

The trip continues to Botswana - it's time for a safari. From the safari lodge you look down on the Chobe River, the lifeblood of the area. Here you can catch a glimpse of the Chobe elephants, zebra, buffalo and a number of other animals that come down to the river to quench their thirst and cool off.

To get the most out of your stay, you have the option of four different safari activities per day. day. You can choose between foot safaris, safaris in open Land Rovers, night safaris or full-day safaris with boat cruises and picnics. The possibilities for fantastic animal experiences are optimal.

DAY 10: DEPARTURE
