DAY 1: ARRIVAL JOHANNESBURG

On arrival in Johannesburg you will be met and driven to the hotel in a good location.

Afternoon and evening at your own disposal after a long journey.

DAY 2: SOWETO

You will be greeted by our charming guide, Booysie. Booysie grew up in Soweto and knows the township and the people there very well. He also has a passion for Johannesburg and is sure to show you an exciting side of both places. The trip goes to Soweto, the largest "black" district in South Africa. Here you get a vivid insight into this part of South Africa's history and people's life. Soweto has become a symbol, both nationally and internationally, of African resistance to the apartheid system!

DAY 3: MADIKWE GAME RESERVE

It's safari time! You drive about 3 hours or fly north from Johannesburg to Madikwe, which is right on the border with Botswana. Madikwe is a malaria-free safari area that combines spectacular wildlife with a varied landscape. The reserve is particularly known for its rare wild dogs, cheetahs in addition to "The Big Five" and over 300 bird species. With few visitors and a strong focus on sustainability, Madikwe offers an authentic safari experience.

You arrive at the lodge in time for lunch and join the safari this afternoon before an evening of dinner at the lodge.

DAY 4-5: SAFARI IN MADIKWE

A typical day on safari starts early in the morning and a simple breakfast is served before the safari departure. After a few hours of exciting safari in the morning sun, you return to the lodge for a healthy "brunch". In the middle of the day it is often too hot for both animals and people, so you may stay around the swimming pool. About. at At 15:00 you meet for "High Tea", a snack lunch, before you go out again on safari with drinks in the sunset over the savannah. The safari is in an open land rover with their own safari guide and "tracker" (track reader), this is how you really get to feel Africa's wildlife.

DAY 6: CAPE TOWN

After the morning safari, you drive back to Johannesburg and fly to Cape Town.

On arrival in Cape Town you will be met and driven to the hotel. Accommodation will be in a central hotel of good standard. Cape Town is considered one of the world's most beautiful cities. With Table Mountain as a backdrop, the city is like "a piece of Europe in Africa".
