VICTORIA FALLS AND SAFARI IN BOTSWANA
This journey offers fantastic nature experiences in both Zimbabwe and Botswana. The journey stares at "Mosi oa Tunya" - the smoke that thunders - is an apt description of the spectacular Victoria Falls and continues across the border to Chobe National Park where you will find, among other things, the largest elephant population in Africa! Chobe is called "Home of the Giants", here we find the world's largest elephant population. The journey ends along the Zambezi River on beautiful Tsowa Island.
DAY 1: ARRIVAL VICTORIA FALLS
On arrival, you will be picked up at the airport and driven to your accommodation.
In the afternoon you will join a river cruise on the Zambezi. It is possible to see hippos and crocodiles from the boat. In the dry months, elephants and antelopes come to the banks to cross over to some smaller islands in the river.
DAY 2: VICTORIA FALLS
Today you will explore the lush rainforest at Victoria Falls. Local guides tell the story of the falls and of the flora, fauna and bird and game life here. When the water flow is at its greatest, 10 million liters per minute rush down the 100-metre high cliff. It creates a mist and rainbow that just takes your breath away!
DAY 3: VICTORIA FALLS
Explore the waterfalls. How about a helicopter ride – known as the “Flight of Angels” – which gives you an unforgettable panoramic view of the falls and the Zambezi River?
For the daring, Devil's Pool is recommended, a natural infinity pool right at the edge of the waterfall. Here you can experience a moment of pure excitement and unforgettable closeness to the raw power of the waterfalls. Alternatively, you can visit Angels Pool, a somewhat quieter but equally spectacular experience.
