Join the country with the high, red dunes, fascinating desert landscapes, lush nature reserves and exciting wildlife. The country is elongated and large; three times larger than Norway, with modest 2 million inhabitants. A gem that is still relatively undiscovered and a perfect destination for those who want to bypass the typical tourist trails. This journey is suitable for those who are active and exploratory. DAY 1: ARRIVAL
You land in the capital Windhoek. Here you are greeted by their guide and drive to the desert area at Sossusvlei. The drive takes approximately 5 hours. The area is known for its high sand dunes and star-shaped mountains. The colors of the dunes vary from weak apricot to deep red and stand in stark contrast to the large white plains at the foot of the dunes. There will be accommodation in beautiful luxury tents at Kulala Adventure Camp.
DAY 2: SOSSUSVLEI
The sand dunes in Sossusvlei are among the highest in the world. Sossusvlei is one of the most photographed landscapes in sub-Saharan Africa. You will understand why when you experience the sunset over the desert landscape. Without a doubt one of the best experiences you can have in the Namib Desert. An air balloon ride over this landscape is also an experience of another world.
DAY 4 AND XNUM: SWAKOPMUND
The next destination is the coast and is Namibia's premier tourist destination: Swakopmund. The city is like an oasis between sea, desert and sand dunes. Here Namibians and other holidaymakers go to relax by the beach and romp with sand or water-based activities. Swakopmund was founded by Germans in 1892 and carries the mark of its German origin. Accommodation at great Hansa hotel in Swakopmund.
DAY 6 AND NUMBER: DAMARALAND
You drive northwest to the heart of Damaraland where you find the Damara, which together with the San people are the nation's oldest peoples. Damaraland Adventurer Camp is located in the heart of the spectacular Damaraland region. This area consists of desert-adapted species, including one of the highest concentrations of desert elephants and black rhinos.
DAY 8, 9, and XNUMBLE
It's time for safari. Ongava Tented Camp stretches along the southern border of Etosha National Park in the 30 000 acre, privately owned Ongava Game Reserve. This little tent camp is built in a different area than Ongava Lodge.
The next few days offer a good mix of safaris. Classic safari by car in Etosha National Park, while in Ongava it also offers safaris on foot.
DAY 11: DEPARTURE
After breakfast you drive back to Windhoek. Arrival Windhoek about 13.00. It's time to go home!
