SAFARI IN ZAMBIA AND BEACH HOLIDAY IN MALAWI
Join Zambia, one of the world's best safari destinations. Beautiful scenery, outstanding wildlife and pristine African wilderness are what await you in the country often referred to as the "real Africa". End your vacation with some relaxing days at beautiful Lake Malawi with white beaches and gorgeous sunsets. A perfect combination!
DAY 1 AND NUMBER: NSOLO BUSHCAMP
You fly to Lilongwe and are transported over to Zambia for exciting days on safari. Nsolo Bushcamp has four spacious cottages on wooden beams with grass and straw walls and large outdoor bathrooms. Each cabin has a solar panel and private porch with great views of the bush and water holes at the Luwi River. Here you can combine safaris by car and on foot. The area is known for its lion population and the opportunities are good for seeing the shy wild dogs.
DAY 3 AND XNUM: LUWI BUSHCAMP
Luwi is a small bushcamp located in the heart of South Luangwa National Park. The camp has four cabins located on the Luwi sand river shaded by large mahogany trees and is open for visits from May to October. When the water in the river is low, the camp is built up and taken down again when the water level increases. It is made of natural materials and has little impact on nature. The camp is the only one in miles around. Close to the camp is a lagoon full of hippos, afternoon safaris often ending with sundowners here.
DAY 5 AND NUMBER: COULD BUSHCAMP
Kakuli Camp is a real bushcamp nestled on the Luangwa River. Here you live in a safari tent with en-suite bathrooms made of natural materials. The camp's bar is made of straw. From the main deck you can enjoy the view of the river and incredible wildlife. Also this area is known for offering some of the best safari opportunities in Zambia. The camp offers safaris both on land and on foot.
DAY 7: LAKE MALAWI - KAYA MAWA
Kaya Mawa is voted among the ten most romantic places in the world by the travel magazine Conde Nast. Kaya Mawa means "maybe tomorrow", a suitable name for the mood and tranquility you want to experience here. Accommodation in lovely rooms surrounded by mango and baobab trees. Each room has stunning views and direct access to the lake with its own pier or beach. Dinner is often served on the beach under the starry sky. The clear turquoise blue water is perfect for diving and snorkeling in a huge aquarium with fish in all shades
DAY 8-10: KAYA MAWA
You can also explore the island on foot, by bike or quad bike. We recommend a visit to the impressive St. Peters Cathedral. Scuba diving and snorkeling are fabulous here all year round with a water temperature of between 22 - 28 degrees.
DAY 11: DEPARTURE
You are picked up at Kaya Mawa, flying to Lilongwe and then back to Norway.
